  Twisted Metal Powder CoatingPOWDER COATING

What is Powder Coating?
About 40 years ago, powder coating was introduced in North America. It is now the fastest growing finishing technology in use today. Powder Coating is dry paint. It contains no solvents and is applied in its dry powder form directly to the surface of metals to be coated. Each powder particle contains the necessary resin, pigment, modifiers and curing agent.

Powder is applied electro statically by charging the powder particles and applying them directly to the grounded part. The charged powder adheres to the surface until it enters a curing oven where the powder melts, bonds and cures to the desired surface characteristic. The result is coating which provides a uniform, durable, high quality finish.

Why Powder Coating?

Quality - Powder is cost effective and is superior to most liquid coatings for:

• Chip resistance
• Corrosion resistance
• Chemical resistance
• Abrasion resistance
• Impact resistance
• Adhesion
• Ultraviolet resistance

Environment - Since there are no solvents, the entire powder coating process is environmentally friendly.

• There are no VOC (volatile organic compound) emissions to the atmosphere.
• There is no generation of hazardous waste.
• Environmental compliance issues are virtually eliminated.

Cost - Powder Coating is typically less expensive than liquid paint when equal products are compared. Our Systems can handle your largest and smallest parts. (40 feet long x 10 feet wide x 8 feet high - 10,000 lbs/4536 kilos) examples include:

• Pipe, Pumps and Fittings
• Industrial Fabrications
• Tanks
• Truck decks, gravel, and sanding boxes
• Railing, Fencing and Gates
• Sports and Exercise Equip.
